Personally I shoot only RAW and as far as I am aware most of the other togs I see at gigs and festivals do, or at least the ones I talk to. Of the couple that I am aware who shoot only JPEG this is either because they tend to take a lot of images or they are working for an agency such as...
Hi Mark. Congratulations on getting your photo pass, hope you enjoyed your first visit to the pit. Number three is the best of the set, well composed and stronger tones. The first two suffer from blown highlights and could have done with a faster shutter speed. You say you have the f2.8 but had...
Followed the link to her website and spotted the following statement:
'Have a good look around and don't forget to grab my RSS.....'
For some unknown reason I misread that last word:lol:
I use thunderbird and don't seem to be having any problems. There was a message some time back to say that they would be switching off some old systems and that minor changes to settings needed to be made. So not sure if this is as a result of that.
I'm also getting similar reports of...
At the moment I have two x 40D which I use just for concert photography. Thinking of moving up to a 5D mkII with the 24-70 f2.8 to get more wide angle from the full frame and a 7D for the 70-200 f2.8. My thoughts were to hire both for a weekend, to see what results I get before handing over the...
You say that you are doing night time photography in a club. What exactly are you doing and what restrictions do you have. Is it gig photography (3 songs / no flash) or general club images and where will the images end up?
Can't comment on either the 400 or 50 but I have used 40D's for the...
Hi Chaz
I'm not that far away but not sure when I am heading in that direction. Any more clues where on the road to Bath it is. If they are out then not a problem but otherwise would appreciate some help.
Thanks Sara
I will do when I have the time. Problem at the moment is this big backlog of photos to process. It's catch 22!
How do you get on with your 5D MkII. That's what I would love to get next. The 40D is a great camera but when shooting at 1600 or 3200 ISO I need to run the photos...
Hi Andy
Thanks for checking back. It was more of a clicking / knocking noise, so that one would have gone back anyway.
The original one seems fine apart from not being able to save the jpeg. It's well built, has a good reputation and keenly priced. Looks as though I will just do my post...
Thanks Olly and Andy for your replies.
I can see the drive from 'my computer' and it currently has 1.19TB free and only 174GB used. I did go in and change the settings to give me full control in the securtity settings but that made no difference either.
I reformatted it to NTFS but again...
Great photos Melissa. You should be very pleased with them. 1 and 5 especially.
As others have said just be careful about taking a slr, as they do get taken away and damaged. A couple of good shots is not worth the loss of your camera.
Can anyone give me any idea why I am having this problem.
I recently purchased a new 1.5TB external drive to collect all my photos together. It will allow me to save 30MB Tiff files onto the drive but when I open them in Photoshop 7 and do the final tweeks and then try and save them as a...
