    Exactly this, I want the shutter to work when I press the button, not when the camera see's fit, for birds that is.

    I bought mine new a few months after they came out , its still my main birding camera, with no plans at all to uprate it. It does everything I ask of it trouble free and no doubt will continue to so for a few more years to come., if its of any interest most of the shots in my signature are...

    Your bird would definately make me look twice Trev, keep looking as they can turn up anywhere as I found out a couple of years ago when I got two in a single day, one a Red the other an Isobelline Shrike or as some call them "Butcher Birds" due to their unsaviory feeding habits.
