A few shots from my Ihagee Kine Exacta - 1936

I use DDX at 1:4 for 11.5 minutes at 20c. My next roll @1600 will be in the same solution but at a 17 minute dev time. I have a roll of 400 in my T90 which I am shooting at 800. I have a roll of 100 in my Exa 500 but am waiting for sunshine ;) I look forward to seeing your results,

A few shots from my Ihagee Kine Exacta - 1936

I appreciate the comments and yes the Vuescan settings I have does send them out a bit flat. I could have spent more time tweaking them in PP (or rescanning them) but Kentmere 400 really only gives you its contrast when you work with it at +1 or +2. My next roll will be at +2.

A few shots from my Ihagee Kine Exacta - 1936

The camera: Kentmere 400 developed using Ilford DDX. Shot in Manchester (on a very bright and wet day - yes, they do exist) and Rossendale. At base ASO it is a flat film but improves at 800 and even 3200 from what I've seen posted by others.

Advice on camera for a child please...

I have a Fujifilm Finepix S4800 that might fit the bill. Takes AA batteries which means you don't have to remember to charge a battery pack. If that would be of interest drop me a PM.

Let's see your... "vintage lenses on modern body" shots.

It really depends on what you like to shoot. A very popular lens for use on digital cameras is the Helios 44 series. But as you can see from the posts here, there are so many options. I would recommend getting an M42 to M4/3 adapter (I use K&F concept adapters bought direct from them) to...

A couple of shots from the Contax II with F/2 50mm Sonnar

Good spot! Now you've made it that I can't correct it though so I'll look like an idiot forever

A couple of shots from the Contax II with F/2 50mm Sonnar

The camera badly needs a service as the viewfinder is so opaque as to be almost useless. The lens too has a bit of haze which softens the images. The purpose of sing ti was to make sure it worked before committing to a service when funds allow. Couple of shots from Manchester on Kentmere 400.

    Cobra, Rest in Peace

Ross, thanks for logging in and telling us a little about your Dad. I cannot imagine the shock and grief the family must be feeling but I know from my own experience there is something to be gained from knowing the positive impact your Dad had on many you have not yet met.

Suggestion on which MF to get - up to £500 (ish)

I use a Mamiya C3. I get photography and cardio and weights all in one walk. I LOVE my C3.

    First camera and latest camera

I have an FX2. Came to me in poor condition but I think I've rescued it. It has the Tessar lens. Reminds me a little of my Kine Exacta.

What's the goto tool for making a website?

I use Squarespace. I had my own site using Zencart some years back but found Squarespace is simple and the support awesome. Costly? Yup but in my opinion it is worth it.
