Best place to get films processed and scanned.

Sent off 3 films to filmdev a couple of weeks ago on a Monday, scans received the following Monday. That's slower than normal for them but stiill good service. On holiday maybe?

Thanks everyone, looking forward to making a few mistakes with this old camera. Love a challenge.

Zorki 4 diopter - Am I really that stupid?

My Zorki 4 has a diopter but I haven't the faintest idea how to use it. It's either SO simple that I can't see the wood for the trees ... or. I am confused. I understand about lining up the object I want to focus on using the turning the focusing "ring" to line up the image, so what do I do...

Best place to get films processed and scanned.

My negs from Filmdev are usually returned around a week after the scans. Think they "do things" in batches rather than on an individual basis. 2nd class postage as well.

Best place to get films processed and scanned.

Just posted 3 films off to Filmdev. Expecting the same great service I've always had.

Show us yer film shots then!

I wanted to make an album/scrapbook which included some of my fim images. I was going to put in individual photos and then write a little piece about each one. Decided to use a sample of snaps from one roll of film and print them onto one sheet of A4 photopaper. Pleased with my decision.

    VERY speedy service from FILMDEV

Posted a few rolls of film to said company on Monday. They received the package on Tuesday at 12:46. Invoice hit my INBOX at 11:46. Hoping for Thursday delivery at best. WOW!

    Nikon FG - weird setting

Think it's from a discussion on Reddit. Think the quote text is FALSE. This part makes more sense: The film-advance lever doubles as the meter's switch—pulling it out to the 30° "stand-off" position uncovers a red dot and turns the circuit on. This ensures the light meter isn't accidentally...

    Fantastic Freebie

How many cameras are stowed away in lofts and cupboards and garages, begging to be brought back to life?

    Fantastic Freebie

I walk my dog along the Trans Pennine Trail every Saturday morning and take up our position on an old bridge. We sit there and watch the parkrunners go by. I was talking to one of the helpers the other day and he asked me if I was any relation to Francis Frith, same surname as what I am...

    Nikon FG - weird setting

Yep, my FM has the same built in feature . "The Nikon FM's meter is designed to only activate once the frame counter reaches 1. This is a built-in battery-saving mechanism."

    Nikon FG - weird setting

Put a film in the Nikon FG that I bought this week and went for a walk into town. The film had been put in correctly and the shutter button pressed a couple of times. Ready to take a shot and ... the LED display showed 2 red lights on shutter speeds 125 and 60. No matter what aperture I set, the...

I'll give it a go on a camera that's broken.

    Nikon FG in great condition

Bought a Nikon FG last Sunday night on fleabay. Waited until the last moment and managed to secure a mint film camera for £15. Two batteries and I'm away. I need to learn how to replace light seals, have yet to attempt this.
