I'm off on holiday for two and a bit weeks basically driving down the west coast of North America (Vancouver to San Francisco) with a stop over in New York. Can anyone recommend any interesting places to take photos in any of these areas? Thanks!

I am going to the US and Canada in a few weeks and am considering buying a Netbook whilst I'm out there, primarily for use with my camera. Being a bit of a newbie to such technical things I have a couple of questions though; (a) Can I use a US netbook in the UK and are there any major hurdles...

Does anyone own a Tamron 70-300mm f4/5.6 DI LD Macro (Canon AF)? If so any pros or cons would be gratefully appreciated.

I am looking to purchase an entry level DSLR in order to take up photography as a hobby. I've been looking at either a Nikon D60 with the 18-55 VR lens or Canon 1000D with the 18-55mm IS and would appreciate any guidance. In terms of feel I am happy with both.
