Did you use flash? I have seen flash do that sort of thing when it reflects back off somthing floating in the air. Wind blow seed or insec ts even. You wouldn't normally notice them with the naked eye but the reflected light would show up. Try firing a flash when it is raining and you will catch...
Nice photograph. Like the way you caught the curve on the wing tips. Nice and sharp too.
Should be easy to remove the marks using a photo editing package.
