ViewOf Edinburgh From Tranent East Lothian

Great shot. Its a different view of Edinburgh and that makes it interesting too. Would be a good spot to make a panorama.

    which first: 17-50 or 70-200?

If you can afford both then sell the 18-55 and get both. If you can't afford both at once then get the 70-200 and save up until you can afford to trade in the 18-55 for a 17-50. That way you'll have the focal length covered. If you already know you want f/2.8 then I think there's little point...

    One word - bokeh. ;)

    3 HDRs from Snowdon

Nice shots. Very moody lighting and great colour and tones. I like the ruffled water in #2.

    Panorama Drama

Nicely done. Great exposure, and just the right amount of people detail. Did it take a long time to do? How many shots was it made up of?

    Northumberland

Thanks Rich, Gav, Alex. It's well worth a visit. The rock formations are amazing to see (and climb ;)). It was a bit windy the other day so I didn't get much done, but will be returning soon.

    Leeds Castle HDR mono

Great exposure of the building, and nice detail interest with the bird. Sky could be better but hey!

Cheers TH! LOL, no but I did beep the horn on the way back across  It always surprises me how close Northumberland is to Edinburgh. It can take longer to drive to Glasgow sometimes!

You're quite spoilt round there for photo opportunities, Holy Island and Bamburgh also within throwing distance. :D It's a beautiful part of the country. Thanks Quaker. :)
