my vote goes with 15-85, very handy focul range and very good IQ.. Only downside is the f3.5, but if you dont need super fast glass to freeze action, it has IS to help keep static things sharp. Build is superb also. (yes I have one for my 7D :) ) playing with wireless flash

I've got a trekker, had it for many years, but also got a manfrotto 055, awsome bit of kit and an mg460 3 way head, that allows me to have the camera the right way up litterally on the floor

I believe the blurbs I have seen that in body IS isnt as effective as IS in the lens because having an IS system specifically designed and set up for a lens is more effective than just a general IS in body system.

And in the specs it sais the 7D doesnt do multiple exposures :bonk:

I'm in the process of trying to decide on a next lens, I really dont want to get anotehr ef-s as I would like to have a FF body one day, but the focul range on this is a dream really, but I agree expensive right now, but I figure that will drop in a few weeks. As said in other forums, shame...

The IS will help cancel shake, but if your close to a subject and you half press the shutter and pause, it would be very easy to move closer or farther away enough to spoil the crisp focus. Try it on a tripod ;)

What about the new 15-85 (canons efs equivelant to the 24-105), thats a very usefull range, early reports and examples show the glass to be very good. Not as fast as your hoping for, but has 4 stop IS :)

my eos400d includes this kind of technology, you take a pic of a white card etc and then the bundled digital photo pro deletes the dust spots automatically :D although I'm hoping the anti static sensor coating and the vibromatic imaging sensor will mean I never need it :thumbs:
