Michael Jackson - Lyric Theatre, London

Cheers, it was my first time taking this style of shot as i'm a little more reserved on most outings. Glad you like them. It was a sad event, i agree Gary. I hope the images convey that in some way. Thank you ladysue, very kind.

Michael Jackson - Lyric Theatre, London

The Lyric Theatre is currently running a show called "Thriller - Live" which tells the story of Michael Jacksons 40 years of pop. After last weeks events it was quoted as saying the show would go on and many fans attending the performance created a small shrine on the doorstep in remembrance to...

    Web Resizing

Had to reply and say thanks Harlequin for the tips as I've been using LR2 for a bit and never thought to streamlilne my workflow like this. It's great timing also as I have just come back from Yoesemtie with lots of HDR shots to process in photomatix. I'll be making a new preset for that tonight...

    Equipment suggestions for kenya...

Whats the budget you have to play with for equipment? What's the main thing you are in Kenya to do.. Safari or Climb? I went to Kenya & Uganda for 18 days total last year just to take pictures on Safari and pumped for the 100-400. It was on the 400D for 95% of the time on Safari. When it...

    My street portrait entry.

That is a cracking shot there Luke, very nice work. I like your processing and reckon you could also try a duo tone or HDR image for a gritty feel. Could work well in a Lomo style also depending on the original colours. I'm loving street photography also at the moment so keep at it !

    Field, Sun, Clouds....

Wonderful capture. I do love the forground grass bathed in that golden light. Nice job.

    To the Manor born ?

I agree, using a RAW editor would have give the colours more saturation and pop. If you have taken the time to crop and add a border then a few extra tweaks would have really improved the shot.

    South America

Lovely shots and show you are well versed in the use of filters and ND grads. What equipment are you using in these and how long were the exposure times? oh, and welcome... looking forward to some more shots :)

    HDR....its a load of balls

Lovely set and the processing is spot on. I'm editing a load of landscapes from Yosemite currently so would you mind giving me a rundown on your settings as a guide please. I like HDR & tone mapped landscapes but don't want to over cook my images. Nathan

    Slingshot 200 AW

Tis a great bag for a day out around town but I found that for a trip away you need the support of two straps on a backpack. Lowepro do great bags and I upgraded to a AW mini trekker in the end.

    Student nurses.....in uniform!

Folks in here looking for pics should not be overly excited as "nurse" covers both male and female. Sounds like a great day out though ...lots of off camera, hot strobe action :p

    London with a 10-22mm

You could try your luck at Canary Wharf? but it could ruin the day if you get hassled by rent a cops as it is a private estate. Then again as a fellow 10-22 Canon user i'd say head to Carnaby Street, Soho Sq, Wardour St, China Town, British Museum is fantastic as stated, then pop over to the...
