Talk to me about the Fuji X100 series

Absolutely - I feel a bit like the camera is 'too' clever and using autofocus kind of takes me out of the moment a bit, and maybe I'm not very good at using the right modes but it didn't work as accurately or predictably as using a manual RF.

Talk to me about the Fuji X100 series

Thanks yes I did, but I don’t like using the EVF if at all possible, although in most cases it’s actually better then the OVF.

I was using it with Capture One which I really didn’t like, so that may have been a factor too.

Talk to me about the Fuji X100 series

Ok after giving it a good try I’ve decided that I’m not feeling the love for the X100v so I’ll be selling. Technically it’s fantastic, it does everything it said it would, but I just don’t feel as involved or inspired as I do using my obsolete gear! I don’t know how to explain it but I feel like...

    Fuji X100v lapel mic

Hi folks I'm looking for a lapel mic for my X100v so I can do some videos of people talking to camera indoors. I'm really confused however about the type of mic and jack I need. The manual simply states a 2.5mm input, but is that TRS or TRRS? Can the mic be battery powered or not? My dad was a...

Talk to me about the Fuji X100 series

Just tried XRaw studio and Capture One to develop some shots taken today. I found Craw studio a bit clunky (and it’s a pain having to remove the SD card then plug the camera in). You also can’t straighten images and the exposure/highlight controls are +/- quite big steps. C1 was faster, the...

Talk to me about the Fuji X100 series

Does anyone have and feelings about the output from XRaw studio vs Capture One using the Fuji film sims?

I’ve got them on mine. They’re hidden under a sub menu somewhere but they’re there. I think I’ll use X Raw studio though

    Camera backpacks (mirrorless)

Thanks yes that looks good for hiking etc - I'm looking for a smaller 'daypack' size possibly with room for a 13" MacBook too.

Talk to me about the Fuji X100 series

Recent x100v user here. It’s taken me a few days to get it set up how I like but now I’m cooking on gas. I’m used to mechanical rangefinders (film and digital) and put off buying an x100 for a long time considering it to be a poor ‘imitation’ of a rangefinder. In actual fact it’s everything I...

    Camera backpacks (mirrorless)

Hi folks I used to have a variety of Mindshift bags, the smallest being the Sidepath which is a small backpack with a rear ‘hatch’ for your camera. However as with most camera bags this hatch area is quite big, designed more for a DSLR and lens and really it could be half the size. I often...

    Weather sealing X100v

Sure - however as I say in the OP, I’m not likely to use it in drizzle. Most of the cameras I’ve been using are much much older than the x100 with zero sealing, hence my thinking that the camera is probably already better protected than I’m used to

    Weather sealing X100v

I’ve heard a few people say their ‘sealed’ cameras let water in during heavy rain (surely a threaded seal isn’t up to much) and haven’t heard any tales of woe from previous editions letting in dust or liquid so I’m wondering if it’s worth it, especially as I seldom shoot in the rain, and when I...

    Weather sealing X100v

BTI I have a Squarehood.se Mk III and a Mk 5 on the way - the Mk 5 allows filters to be screwed into the front of the hood so the length of the lens isn’t affected.
