    Equipment thoughts please (canon equipment)

makes a big difference I presume you mean human models. Definitely a 70-200, but indoors you might need something shorter, and I couldn't go without recommending a 135L either the EF or RF If your budget allows, RF versions of all them, if not, for the price of an RF 24-70, you could maybe...

But what you shooting in the studio?

    Equipment thoughts please (canon equipment)

I keep the RF24-70 2.8L on my R6 almost all the time. I tried the 28-70 f2, and both the 24-105L’s. And if I had to choose again tomorrow, I’d pick the same. But I’ve no idea what you’re shooting in the studio, and I wouldn’t want to be without a 70-200. The RF f4 version is light and...

    Lithium batteries on aircraft

I never said it wasn’t scanned, what a ridiculous take. I posted that the barrier to escalation with hold luggage is very different to cabin bags. A pack of baby wipes in carry on will result in a bag search, I’m pretty confident it doesn’t result in a hold bag not getting on board without...

    Beginner Hotshoe flash help please

From the small amount of research I’ve done, your options are limited. I wouldn’t use an on camera flash with no tilt swivel head, or with no TTL, and whilst it seems you can get a TTL flash, it’s still a tiny option with no tilt swivel for bounce. It looks like the Godox triggers for Pentax...

    Lithium batteries on aircraft

You’ve an odd belief in what an x ray can pick up. Cabin bags are x rayed and a decent % require a physical search, packs of wet wipes, tins of sweets and all sorts can lead to further investigation. How would that work with hold luggage?

I think it might help if we know who you’re flying with, as there might be differences and someone may have actual experience

Carry on luggage only, and you have to have eyes on them if charging online, and you shouldn’t charge from the aircraft power.

Electrical requirments for charging in London, UK

So you called the last one Johnson? I’m concerned you expect me to believe that ;)

Electrical requirments for charging in London, UK

FTFY Tourist taxes are a fact of life. If I want to visit somewhere interesting I expect to pay a tourist tax, I’ll expect the hotel to cost more than visiting Grimsby, and I’ll expect to pay more for drinks, food and everything else than I would if I’ve stayed at home. We all pay VAT, I presume...

Electrical requirments for charging in London, UK

And Manchester, but Aberdeen and Edinburgh are definitely part of the UK. And I’ve paid them in Edinburgh and Manchester, Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Turkey and Hong Kong (possibly elsewhere I’ve forgotten). But y’know ’Khan’ C’mon Dave, time to admit you were sucked into a dodgy...

Electrical requirments for charging in London, UK

Tourist taxes are common all over Europe and N America, I’ve been paying them for a couple of years visiting another uk city, but sure ‘Khan’. Surely you can do better than that. :(

Old debate and possibly done to death?

My camera is nowhere near as sophisticated as the R1, but here’s what I’ve been saying for years: My actual ‘keeper rate’ might not be significantly better than 20 yrs ago (there’s only so many images I can use). But the quality of what I’m throwing away is light years ahead of what I was...

    Do I persevere?

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I’d still recommend a Canon test drive to help you decide

Seeing as you’ve said ‘statistics’, I’m presuming you can cite a peer reviewed source for this assertion
