    Cancer and Holidays?

My good lady has just undergone kidney surgery for cancer. We are waiting to hear about what the future hold in terms of treatment. Anyone been in the same situation and can advise on holidays, air travel, insurance etc., please? We want to make some more memories if she is able. Her fitness...

Fuel is someone extracting the urine

Prices up and down like a bride's nightie! Oil is free in the ground! Lots of cars and vans smelling like chip shops round here!

    WAMT....what annoyed me today!

A certain "British" vac manufacturer, that took my money a week ago, via Amazon Pay, for a replacement switch, including extra, for "Next working day" delivery, heard nothing, since, no delivery, no contact, until finally, a note from DPD saying that they are expecting my delivery. I had...

    Tissues ?

Nope! The house is perfectly dry and fine. My kids have noticed it too. The loo roll choice is a nightmare in our house! Scent or no scent? Quilt or no quilt? Single or double?

    Tissues ?

Paper tissues of all varieties seem to just disintegrate before, during and after use ( I know that they are supposed to after use but preferably not in your pocket! ). Our "usual" brands are just as bad as the cheapo versions. Don't get me started on toilet tissues as they are currently...

    Fostair Asthma Control?

UPDATE- It works! I hadn't realised, but asthma had been causing excessive mucus overnight, leading to occasional vomiting (it seems that it is a recently studied condition of asthma related nausea!). I had put it down to stomach problems but since taking the new asthma treatment, no further...

    WBMT.....What baffled me today

The roadworks crews no longer put up their own signage and lights etc. One "signage and safety lights" crew, (including traffic lights etc) puts that up, then the actual roadworks are done ( sometimes with help from the signage crew if human controlled signs are needed) and back to the signage...

    WCMUT....what cheered me up today

A full morning of warm, sunshine, long enough for me to pressure wash my (concrete) driveway - what is all that black stuff and where does it come from? We never used to have it but now, it comes back every year. Salt? Rust? Brake dust? Tyre dust? Aeroplane fuel residues? It covers the...

Fuel is someone extracting the urine

Since my good lady came out of hospital we have stayed home. Groceries delivered by Tesco. Over £50 worth and you just pay a small fee ( £5.00). Never shopped online before and I quite like it. You even get reminded of best offers etc! My car is full of diesel (don't tell anyone!).

    WCMUT....what cheered me up today

My Tesco delivery driver, (Hayden) turned up on time, with evrything as ordered. The fact that she was young and gorgeous had nothing to do with me giving her a good review!

    WCMUT....what cheered me up today

My good lady slept in her bed, for the first time since her surgery to remove the cancerous kidney, renal gland and various nodules. She has been sleeping in a "Lay-z-boy" chair since coming home. Steady progress and I can literally see her improving, every day. :)
