I'm still fond of my old Canon a640 compact camera, and still use it. It's only a humble 10mp, but it produces good results. If I was going to post them here you wouldn't know the difference between that and a camera with a larger sensor. So it's true what they say.

I must admit that my rudimentary knowledge of composition I gained from YouTube. Adam Gibbs taught me the value of camera angles and Thomas Heaton about isolating objects. Things which I practice today. But in any case it's pretty fluid and my interests have evolved over time.

It drives me mad if there is debris in the viewfinder. I get paranoid about it.

Well, we can scrub the OM Pen off the list. It's no longer in the future tense. Should tick a few boxes. Still holding out for the XT6, personally.

My first proper camera, the Pentax MX, is probably the one I will take to my grave. But really what makes me hold onto a camera is the thought that I will use it, one day! :p

Well, that's a good question. I think it gets a bit murky. They are pretty much locked in to making all singing, all dancing cameras for an apparently declining market and have to make it pay. It's a bit of a vicious circle, it seems to me. I think, personally, that they need to get back to...

I'm not sure photography is dying. People will always take pleasure in taking pictures. But it is pricing itself out of the market.

It looks as if OM Systems are set to release a new Pen F, which should be interesting. I do like a nice compact. :D
