    Lenses for trip to .au

Was originally thinking about a 50mm 1.4 and then something longer. I have a 40-150mm for my Olympus and always thought of getting an equivalent for the Canon. Also I spent a weekend in Brugge recently and couldn't get anywhere wide enough to photo what my eye could see so I could see the...

    Lenses for trip to .au

I'm looking for some recommendations for lenses to for a trip I'm making in a few months to Australia. I'll be taking my Canon 40D and currently only have an EFS 18-55 with IS. Any thoughts as to a couple of lenses (Canon or otherwise) to augment this would be appreciated. I'm not on a really...

    Q strap

Really like the idea of these and was thinking of getting one for an upcoming trip I'm making. One question I have is how secure is the camera when mounted to the strap? Are you able to wear the sling all day with the camera mounted and just grab as needed or is it cumbersome?

    Which Flashgun?

Hi all, I've just gotten myself a canon 40d and was wondering if anyone could recommend me a relatively inexpensive flashgun? I've never had one before and as such don't know what to look out for? Any advise greatly received.

    Sad little chimney sweep

Not qualified to critique in any way, but I think this is superb.

sorry guys - my 1st attempt at the moon

Really like the original. If I had to critique though I think it may have been better if the subject was higher up in the frame.

IMac Refurb - Which i7 Model?

If you can afford the extra cash go for the 2.93 model, the extra speed will be of benefit over the long run. On the other hand there's absolutly nothing wrong with the 2.8 and if your budget is 1399 go for this and don't worry as the extra speed shouldn't really make too much of a difference.

    PLEASE TAKE MY PICTURE

Loving them both, particularly number one the "pose" is superb; I love the line from head to the tip of its tail feather.

Superb news, it must be a great feeling when you open the paper.

    Thinking of Upgrading

I suppose the biggest factor is the lack of Image Stabilisation. Which became evident when I looked at some shots I took on holiday and compared them to those taken by my friend with his 450D and Canon IS lenses. His were much sharper. Funding wise I can spend around £400-£450 on a new (or...

    Thinking of Upgrading

I haven't been taking too many picture lately, as I've been travelling a lot with work (nowhere photogenic), however my first child arrived earlier this week and I haven't had my camera (Olympus E420) off my neck. However I've never been happy with the lack of accessories for the Olympus, and...

    F-Cup(Neste Jari-Pekka rally)

Brilliant shots, love the low angle. The focus in each shot is bang on and the sense of movement just adds to the overall effect.

    olympus E450 + 14 - 42mm

Yes, the shop is quite near the Barras. The reason I mention IS is purely because I've just returned from a trip to Portugal and really wished I had IS as I was trying to get a photo of a para-glider but couldn't keep the camera steady enough. Having said that it all depends on the type...

    olympus E450 + 14 - 42mm

I've used Jessops a number of times over the years and also Merchant City Cameras (whom I prefer) a couple of times. Merchant City Cameras have a shop in the City (on Parnie Street not far from High Street) and also a web site www.merchantcitycameras.com
