thank you everybody... i got my answer. i would go for the canon 55-250mm IS lens.

I have a Canon EOS 1000 D. The camera is perfectly well. Nikon has launched 3100D. Now, is it worthy to change the 1000D & buy nikon 3100D? or to buy a canon 55-250mm IS lens? I am not a professional. Photography is my hobby. I am confused.

Hi.. I have a Canon EOS1000D with 18-55mm kit lens. Now I want to upgrade my camera. I have two options in my mind. 1) buying a Canon 55-250mm IS lens 2) buying a Nikon 3100d please tell me which option would be better for me. I am a beginner in photography.
