Well here goes. This is my first Landscape shot on here. For my sake, please be as blunt as you like. Im experimenting with Manual for the first time and theres nothing like throwing yourself in at the deep end.

Im new to photography and have bought a Canon EOS400D. Im just getting to grips with it and this is one of my favourite shots with it. Please be as critical as you will. I will learn quicker that way.:)

I like number 5 best from Garys collection. However Bradkb and Sepulchre's win it for me. I like landscape shots that have a minimal border as it accents the enormity of the landscape. A border "hems in" the scene for me and gives it a sense of...well...erm:thinking:...borders/boundarys:).(hope...

I think the shot would be too minimal without the stick. It adds a focal point. The shot would be boring without the boat or the stick. It is an atmospheric shot with just enough detail.
