Swapped my 50-140 for the 70-300. Picked it up on Tuesday...first impressions are excellent, am impressed by the lack of distortion (barrel/pincushion), lack of vignetting wide open and overall sharpness, particularly at f/8, and surprisingly f/16.
First test images with the 70-300 I picked up today...SOOC jpegs, only into Affinity to add text, otherwise, 100% as shot hand-held.

I've used the sling (10L model) for the last 5 years, ever since going over to mirrorless...very happy with it, and it is perfect for my needs. As for MacBook Pro, the same applies, migrated from Windows some 7 years ago and have never had it so good.
Have ordered it as a replacement for my 50-140...
The store had a deal coupling the lens with the 1.4 extender, so went for it. ETA 18th of this month...

I have one which is solar driven and works well, even here in Norway. Saves having to wire it up or removing to recharge every few months.
The solar unit is an extra 'collar' than fits round the basic unit.
