Photography tart - I'll shoot anything
I started off shooting landscapes and motorsport many years ago, and after I had many images of cars on-track, I started also photographing the people in the pit garages, and paddock. After adding an SB900 Speedlight to my work to add light to faces, I looked for a book on lighting people on location. Partly for the clever title, but mostly for the amazing cover image, I chose Joe McNally's "The Hot Shoe Diaries". Inspired by Joe's mega-budget photographic adventures for Life Magazine, National Geographic and Sports Illustrated. I bought many more Speedlights
I moved from photographing things that were already there to creating things to photograph. After years of landscape photography, I really liked the certainty of results that creative studio photography provides. Location photography with lighting being somewhere in between.
You can see a right old mixed bag of work on my Flickr stream
