I'll be using XP2 as I've ended up with three rolls of the stuff so want to get rid of it and may as well use it for practicing. I'm only using B&W film as I will be using my DSLR for colour shots.

I'll be visiting Italy in the spring and will be taking my Pentax K1000, I only have 50mm and 28mm lenses and was wondering if this will be suitable for the trip? I'll be taking a mix of landscapes, architecture and people so are there any other lenses I may need? I'll be using Ilford XP2 400...

When I look through my Pentax K1000 with 55mm lens unless I am in pin sharp focus there is a rippling effect, what is it called and what causes it please? It's only in the centre of the viewfinder.

The new camera has turned up and is in fantastic condition, it's bright and clear through the viewfinder which is in complete contrast to the first one. All works fine and dandy, hopefully I'll get out with it soon and enjoy using it.

Whoops, I've just gone and bought another K1000! This one has just been fully refurbished and has 6 months warranty, that will ease my mind if anything goes wrong with it. I'll put the other one away and have it serviced at a later date,

Hi all, I've recently purchased a Pentax K1000 and am in need of a little advice. Looking through the viewfinder it looks quite hazy/milky (sorry, not sure of the correct terminology) is this normal? The centre is clear but the surrounding area that is hazy makes it hard to see if I am in focus...

I've had a look on the Plustek website and according to their spec sheet the 8200i se works with Win 10, a bit more pricey but no more than the price of a night out so could be what I'm looking for. Thank you to you all for your help and input.

Thank you for your reply, I think I'm edging towards getting a Plustek mainly thanks to @FujiLove for posting that link to Vuescan. Why their products don't support Win 10 naturally I don't know?
