Thanks for the suggestions. I briefly tried Adobe Bridge but found it a bit limiting as well. I'll take a look at Digikam - it looks like it can do everything I need and more.

I mainly use my Hadley Pro small and Hadley One as I prefer a backpack when carrying more kit.
Just had a quick try and I can easily fit my A7Riii with 24GM attached, 135GM and 50 Zeiss. Plenty of room for accessories too.
I've been a LightRoom user for years and it has served my needs but recently I've been finding limitations on the DAM side. My main issue is some video files which can't be imported into LR. Therefore I'm looking for DAM software which will allow me to manage and organise and my photo/video...
But does the Samyang perform as well, if not better, than the Sigma? I'm not sure it does. The appeal with the 45mm is the size, build and potential IQ. The 35mm 1.8 is a good alternative but it's bigger.
