    Tripod with gimbal

Just out of interest what gimbal do you use.? I have the same lens and had been contemplating which to get. I don’t particularly feel I can justify the outlay on a wimberley!

    Nikon D750 v D7500

If you’re budget restricted this isn’t going to help but I’d probably throw the d500 in the mix. For wildlife dx will give you extra reach but I really think that comparing d7xxx with the 750 iq and therefore what you can crop to cancels it out in my experience... King Vulture by Sibling...

    Nikon D750 & D780

Been through same debate recently and settled on the 1.8g but I bought it whilst the Nikon cash back was available, so I was a pretty good deal. So far not had chance to get out and about with it as work has been getting in the way :( Pretty sure I saw one on the classifieds recently...

    Decent walk about lens

Think it depends on your criteria. Fast? Flexible focal length? Specific range or fixed length? Weight? I have a tamron 24-70 f2.8 but walking round all day with it in my hand gives my wrist rsi! For that reason picked up a Nikon 50mm f1.8g...can hardly tell it’s there [emoji846]

    Nikon D750 & D780

So in my attempt to try and travel light at times, now I have the 50mm what would any of you guys recommend as a holster or top loading bag. Evrything I’ve seen tends to look a bit utilitarian unfortunately. Something that would take a few minor accessories, D750 camera and up to 24-70 lens as a...

    Nikon D750 & D780

Nifty fifty just arrived via amazon. Strangely emblazoned with German warranty sticker and booklet (5 years apparently) Very quick test straight from camera...looks good to me, focus is on the nose of the bear on the right....

    Beginner Do I need a 35mm f1.8?

True, but I think we’re saying the same thing,....or at least I’m not disagreeing with you ;) depends on what you want them for. Primes I’ve had have primarily been for DoF and performance in low light due to large aperture. I’ve found the ones I’ve had to be sharper than my zooms, but then...

    Beginner Do I need a 35mm f1.8?

I didn’t specifically mean sharpness, but as with everything it depends on what you are looking for I guess :)

    Beginner Do I need a 35mm f1.8?

Sure prime lenses will generally outperform zooms. Should you have one of those 35mm in your kit bag? Definitely imho, super sharp, a great focal length to work with for all sorts and pretty cheap for a prime. Would I use it for landscape? maybe at a pinch but depends on where you are in...
