    Money thoughts …

Funny thing is I posted this morning about not winning, then my wife checked her account today and has won £50.

    Money thoughts …

Just came across this thread, very interesting. On the topic of premium bonds my wife and I have £20K in between us and have won nothing for 6 months. However previous to this we won nearly every other month. Probably look at other options and just leave a small amount in for luck.

    Trail cams with remote access....

The batteries come with it, 8 x AA rechargeables. You need your own battery charger thou. It also includes a 32 GB card. Ive had my camera out now for 4 nights and it’s still showing fully charged. I have it set on 24 hour monitoring and have received about 10 videos today, mainly a pigeon but...

    Trail cams with remote access....

Thanks. It’s set up to see if a male owl returns. It’s the 3rd oldest owl that’s recorded every year and has used this barn exclusively. It’s easy to recognise due to a scar, however it’s not been seen for a while.

    Trail cams with remote access....

No it comes straight away but in reduced size ( video) However it records the full quality in the sd card. The manual is online, it explains it better than I probably can.

    Trail cams with remote access....

Quality is as good as I expected, it’s 10 mile away and the photo is on my phone within seconds of it being triggered. It’s currently watching for barn owls and I’ll post some footage when I fetch it back. The Zeiss app is very easy to use and all the settings can be altered at home and sent to...

I"ve made the press and TV

Can't believe I've made the press. I took a quick shot of a Fallow deer with grass on its antlers and today it's in the Times Online and Daily Express paper. Quite chuffed, I'm only an amateur and never had anything printed before. Last month one of my images was on Look North weather. My wife...

    What's Up With The Kingfishers?

I spoke to a guy yesterday who does ringing and checks on the Kingfishers in my area and he said it’s one of the worst years on record for them. Usual areas are devoid, he also said it’s been a tough year for the Barn Owl.

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

No idea I've never held any of those. I only use the Z 400mm 4.5 so it was heavy compared to this at first, but the more I use it the better it feels.

    Nikon Z 180-600

Mine will be with me on Monday, hopefully try it out after work. update, it’s just been delivered. As I expected it’s quite heavy, but that’s comparing it to my 400mm Z. Also the tripod collar could have been better designed , but no doubt there will be a better one on the market soon. On my...
