This is actually one that I think an HDR effect would work well on. Just to give some detail in the shadows. It's not quite a silhouette due to the white. Also as has been said, a sliver off the right on the crop.
Otherwise a strong image that you should be proud of.
Love the shot but I'm having a couple of difficulties.
Problem with the central crane is that it looks like it's floating in thin air where the sun cut it off. My rational brain tells me whats going on, just subconscious is throwing a fit.
I think that taking the shot more square on from...
5 is my favourite. Good job. Number two has something strange going on for me. I'm pretty sure that the horizon is straight but it looks like the ocean is tilted. Could be due to it disapearing so high behind the ship/land? Just keep feeling like the ship should be sliding to the left.
1 and 5 I really like.
4 I find a little busy to be honest, if there was a way to make it slightly more abstract maybe? Keep the light and window. I dunno.
I like the second shot, my only question would be: might the shot be improved if you had a little more sky at the top? So that the step effect carried on to the corner of the photo?
I feel sorry for this kid I really do.
The birthmark is probably going to cause her problems down the line. But tbh I think that's probably the least of her problems.
She's called Omnee...and she has parents that would call a child Omnee.
