    2011 Motorsport Photography Review

Nothing like a wee self righteous 'bump'! Some very nice shots, you certinaly got about in 2011. If you don't mind me asking, how did you get paid for most of it? Hope you had a good time at the Ulster rally. If you enjoyed that you should definitely try to get to the Donegal rally...

    My 12 from '11

Number 8 is a bit mental at first glance, looks like he is riding up a vertical wall! lol Good lighting in number 1, and i like the reflection of the curbing on his visor.

    My 2011 Season

Wow, awesome few shots there! Mind me asking what sort of kit you're using? Number 2 is definitely my favourite. Number 5 is a great shot, if a little dark, hence i like the vibrant sharp colours in number 6.

Newbie needs advice ...UPDATE using advice received

Well these guys have given you some excellent advice there, good read even for myself. All i can say is that your second shot would look great with the dirt at the bottom cropped off.

    6 from 2011

Nice wee collection there, gona have a look through the rest of your photos now. Number 1 for me, cracking shot, and as you said, would have been perfect if Plato had won. Rage lol Number 5 also deserves a mention for capturing that split second moment! I quite like number 6, just wish...

    Simply Electronics

Thanks for all the replies folk. I haven't actually bought anything off them yet, i was a bit hesitant as they're prices are usually a fair bit cheaper than anywhere else, so hence i asked on here first. Bit of a mixed view but more bad than good. Might have to walk away from this one, which is...

    Canon 60D Start Up Problems..

If you haven't already found it, the live view button is to the top right of the screen (also the record button for filming btw, not the button for taking photos). Live view is very slow to focus and abit of a hassle, i always use the view finder instead, much easier & quickier. However, live...

    Amazon - Mightily impressed

Only used Amazon for the first time a few months ago, but have used it several times since. Nearly always the cheapest by far and delivery is quick.

I'm finally going to invest in a few L series lenses so been looking around for best prices etc. Simply Electronics seem to be the cheapest, anyone any experiences? Example; http://www.simplyelectronics.net/mainproduct.php?pid=678

A few different Images & Cars

I have to disagree about number 6. To me the whole image just looks out of focus apart from the numberplate, the car and landscape look the same, as if one blur filter was laid over the image (and the numberplate area erased) It doesn't give me any sense of direction and therefore doesn't...

    24-105mm L

Well this is why i was asking how much the price varies with age. In post 6 you said a fairly new one would cost £550, so why would anyone pay £500 for one thats 6 or 8 years old? Anyway, i'll just keep posting until im allowed into the classifieds. Spent a few nights now looking through the...

    24-105mm L

So a 6 year old one is worth what then, do they go as low as 400? I still can't access the classifieds..

    24-105mm L

Well i can see some people's signatures so i am assuming that it is on, but theres nothing below your posts... Anyone any thoughts on 2nd hand prices of this lens?

A few different Images & Cars

I love both 1 & 2, despite being two very different styles of the same photo. Maybe tone down the second image just a wee bit? Love the orange glow in the first one :) It's a HDR image. Stands for High Dynamic Range, whereby you take 3 photos, one in high exposure, one in low exposure, and...
