This ! Someone above mentioned "Afghan girl" no doubt it's a nice shoot but if it was posted by someone on this forum it would get a dozen "lovely shot , look at those eyes comments " and that's as far as it would get . Sometimes images are classed as great because of who took them . My opinion...

I couldn't care less for the rules or how it's meant to be shot etc .....I judge a photo on how it makes me feel when I look at it , if I feel nothing then for me it's a boring uninteresting shot regardless of how technicality good it may be . That in its self is why photography is so personal...

I've think I've quite a low tolerance for noise Fuji 1600 Canon full frame 3200 Sony full frame 6400 (Only systems I use)

I've never looked at a chart table for a lens in my 20 years of photography, I wouldn't have a clue what the numbers mean ,I just try a lens and if I'm impressed with the speed and sharpness then it's a great lens lol He just loves it as he says it gives a prime "look" with out having a bag...

My friend just bought the 28-70 f2 and won't shut up about it. He's a proper gear head and says he's never used a lens like it.

Xe3/xe4 or xt20/30 really are tiny and incredibly hard to beat for image quality ......size to quality ratio I don't think there's anything better .

Ohhh forgot to add .....if I was changing systems but not for professional reasons I would without doubt be going for Fuji .

I went from a 5d mk4 to a canon r6 and then to a Sony a74 .......I would take the r6 back in a heart beat . I find on the r6 everything is better apart from noise at iso6400 onwards where the Sony beats it . People rant and rave about sonys autofocus but the r6 is definitely better than my a74 ...

My experience of printing from home is it's very rewarding BUT for me worked out more expensive by the time you set the printer up to get the colours you want etc then print a test print ...then print a final print to find it's not correct so you have to print another lol then if your not using...

I used that very lens for weddings for years and it's a great lens . I'm guessing the problem is something else . It sounds to me like you need to read up and understand exposure along with your cameras dynamic range limits ......what to expose for and how to properly edit said image one taken .
