    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Anyone using the Nikon Z 70-200mm f2.8 lens with a Z8? if so, what's your thoughts on the combo in real life use. I have recently bought the 70-180mm f2.8 and wide open at the wide end it's a tad soft until stopping down to f5.6, and through to about 105mm. From there it's tack sharp up to the...

If you go through the last 6 pages or so, to my eyes the Voigtlander 50mm APO seems an excellent lens if you don't mind 50mm as a focal length. It's on my radar.

Thanks for the reply Steven...I have had a lay off from photography for a few years...I used to find Topaz way to slow and why I'm not using it anymore. I find the LR version is good for my eyes and from limited trial.

Thanks James,...I have been having a play around with Lightroom Denoise to see how it performs on these above images, I'm happy with the results but perhaps a tad over sharpened.

Trying out LR version of Denoise on this photo of a Goldfinch. Used Topaz in the past but don't think I'll bother anymore and stick with LR. Although it looks a tad over sharpened on this forum. Goldfinch by Swansea Jack, on Flickr

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Anybody have a rough idea what a 400mm f4.5 lens is worth, I bought it from Wex just before the price drops and paid nearly £3.2k for it....I haven't been used to primes for years since my 300mm f4 AFS lens on the D750. after that I have been using the 200-500mm and 150-600mm lenses. When I...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

After I dropped my D500 & D850, I decided to give mirrorless a go again, (my last mirrorless cameras I had were the Fuji Xpro Xt2)....I bought the Panasonic S5 and lenses and after a couple of weeks I sold them as I have arthritic hands and found the camera too small for my large hands. I then...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Just returned to Nikon as I want to pick bird photography back up. Been using a Panasonic S1R for a few years after dropping my D850 & D500 and 200-500 f5.6 lens. I have bought the Z8 with the kit 24-120mm f4 lens and from a initial quick play the lens seems better than the old 24-120 AFS lens...

Not sure if it will help, but can you try the two button reset using the green marked buttons on the top left and right of camera??? https://www.nikonusa.com/en/learn-and-explore/a/tips-and-techniques/using-the-2-button-reset-feature-on-nikon-dslr-cameras.html
