The things that I found got me the best photos were not being shy (get in there and take photos) while not being shady or mysterious; Hanging back doesn't usually work, I've found it best to form relationships with people, get them to like you and get the nervousness of a camera our the way and...

That's cracking - is it sharpened up at all? Don't suppose you have the original uncropped image laying around?

Cheers! Yep, old lenses are great sometimes, you just need to take a punt and get something that's out of fashion... it's slow, but the moon is bright :) Do you think that extra pixels would resolve much more detail? I'm guessing "of course", but I wonder what the same shot on a D700 and D800...

There we go. It's been compressed but otherwise, that's just a 100% crop. But really, most of my shots are memories (which vary from people, holidays - basically snaps, but nice ones that have been thought about with a bit of something special chucked in)

I have one too. its a really good bag as long as you don't mind not being able to get at your stuff that quickly... otherwise, I pretty much keep everything I have in there 100% of the time bar a few lenses. It'll take 2 zoom, one long prime and a couple of small primes along with a flash and...

Lenses are better in the center too so there's another good reason along with wider DOF at faster apertures... cost for the main I'd expect for most though.
