One lens which can now be had at absolute bargain basement prices is the Nikon AF-S Zoom Nikkor ED 17-35mm F/2.8 IF. It's a stunning lens. I've just picked up another one myself to use wit the ZF.

If you don't mind MF then look for a Jupiter 3. It's 50mm f/1.5 and is a super lens with lovely DOF and character. And it's very small.

I was thinking if the ZFC for your usage as it’s smaller and lighter. I’m just about to change from the ZFC to the ZF, just because I’d like some of my vintage MF lenses to be used at their correct focal length rather than the 1.5 crop factor. Either of those camera bodies should fit your needs...
