TBH there has only recently been a lot of bad press about these.
For a long time they have been seen as a healthy alternative to smoking or vaping, there was even the widely touted "nicotine is actually good for you it was just the delivery system that was bad"!

i saw some from a microbrand called Radcliffe i quite liked but i can't be waiting around for kickstarter campaigns as if i decide i want one then i want it now lol

as much as i love my D810 i just saw the image number in some exif. how have i only taken just over 1500 shots with it? o_O
can't completely blame lockdown but wtf, i thought i'd used it much more than that!....

i don't know why you would want to "cheap out" on oil. it's basically the life blood of your engine!
had a GT3 customer in a few weeks back for first MOT. car had never been serviced, never had an oil change & didn't want one!
Yes it was quite low minleage but its crazy really as a GT3 engine is...
i like the story behind this one. i remember there was a Seiko in space with an orange face but i don't know if it made it onto the moon or not.

Nikkor 17-55m has always been the king of the mid range zooms.
Expensive new but a real bargain at used prices.
Sharp, contrasty & the blazing fast AF of the Nikkor Pro zooms.
i tried a couple of Tamrons first. Second one was OK but focus was slooowww.
it gets people taking & sharing images which is pretty good.
They range from relentless amounts of duckface selfies & shots of yor dinner right through to amazing (although small) shots of epic locations & everything inbetween.
many people use it as a visual journal like mentioned above which...
Just looks like something to trip over to me.
if you can't trust it to stand up on it's own then ultimately they seem pointless o_O
bit like putting a ballhead on a monopod as well...
So whatever happened to the Lightfield cameras that were going to make all our kit obsolete?
They were all over the internet a few years back & they seem to have just faded away & vanished :tumbleweed:
I have to admit they are heavy. The 445 is way too heavy when loaded which is why i decant into a smaller bag on the day...
Yes, sometimes you wish you had one of the other lenses :rolleyes:
