Me and a few friends took a trip to Pleasely Mills near Mansfield. This is said to be the most haunted place in Nottingham and walking around it at 11pm was definitely spooky as you all know I am still very much learning and most the photos I took didn't come out very good. I got some...
I don't mind a bit of noise as I expect it in low light shots. I'll work on it. I am just being impatient lol. I can't afford any more gear just brought an Olympus EM10 Mark 4.
I'll stick with it ofcourse as I want the best results possible. I will do some youtube digging to try and figure out how to reduce the grain in my photos.
Hi
I recently switched to Raw format and subscribed to adobe lightroom to have a go at tweaking my own images. I have noticed I am getting grain in alot of my shots. Its getting frustrating as I don't know what I am doing wrong. Its not my camera as I get grain whether I use my olympus OM10...
I would have got some Corkers near underwood/mansfield but I couldn't find anywhere to Dump the car. The sky was half and half it looked amazing. Blue on one side and cloud on the other.
Well been out for another day of shooting with it. Still taking some getting used to. The menu system is mind boggling. I was struggling for insperation on todays shoot as Nottingham is quite possibly the blandest place in the UK. Plus the weather took a turn for the worst.

A picture of my little brother when he was unaware. I always find you get better results when you take a shot of someone unaware as you get a more natural facial expression. This was taken on my EOS 500N using Kodak Colorplus 200. I had the film developed at MAX Speilman (never ever again) and...

Case in point this photo was taken on the same day. I hadn't at this point somehow set the ISO to 2000 so theres hardly any grain even if you zoom the photo in.
Yeah I had to close the aperture to bring the shutter speed down as it was maxing at 4000 and flashing in camera. I didnt realise the ISO was set to 2000.
I have done I set the ISO to auto with an upper limit of 6400 should the camera need it. It explains why my shutter was maxing out at 4000 and flashing at wide open aperture. It was because it was set to ISO 2000 and the camera was warning me of impending massive overexposure. It explains why...
I'm not sure how the ISO ended up at 2000 to be honest I might have selected it instead of 200 by accident. Even lightroom couldn't save the images for me as they went all grainy if I tried to tweak them up. At first I thought it was a problem with the camera. But ofcourse with the ISO set that...
