Hi,the lighting is very flat and lifeless - no sparkle.
Studio flash would be better.
Also watches these days are usually shot using focus stacking (combining 3or4 images focused in slightly different places.
Maybe just me ? But the first thing I would have done would have been to completely ignore the Registrar.
You get on with your job I'll get on with mine,they have no juristriction over photographers it is merely courtesy
I Love them in general,just one little thing ! the join between wall and wooden floor is in a very odd place.
Needs to be level with the base of the stand the baby is on { move the stand back }
Good effort but the background isn't pure white at all there are grey patch's all over and the one of the model car looks overlit and bled out.
Difficult thing to do without a proper light table.
You can of course do exactly the same thing in lightroom,set up you own preferences and apply them at import.
Plus you can set up different one for different situations studio location , etc.
Much more adaptable than in camera settings.
Hi, you all seem to be missing the point ! a white dress does not fool the meter into anything.
Light meters are set to measure at an 18 percent grey - if you meter white and do by the meter it will be grey - if you meter black and go by the meter it will be grey.
you need to understand how...
let truth be prejudice a book about the life and work of W,Eugene Smith this was bought for me at an exhibition many years ago at the Barbican London.
This man was a true photographer who was concerned with telling great truth's with a camera and it destroyed him.
Essential reading for anyone...
