Upgraded the original hard drive a few years ago to an ssd so going to do a full back up and give it a go following a youtuber’s instructions.
When money frees up then yes, maybe it’s time for a new one.
I have the Lightroom and Photoshop monthly payment plan which has been running fine on my 2012 MacBook Pro which I had upgraded a few years ago with 16mb of ram and a 500gb SSD (what an amazing upgrade that was in every sense)
My trouble now is that the latest Adobe LR and PS upgrade will not...
By sheer co-incidence I have been looking to do the very same thing and having the very same issues getting my 80D to talk to my IPhone with canon connect.
As you Martin I did have it running (erratically) a few years ago on my older iPhone but haven’t really bothered with it for some time but...
Nice read but I have to say that refusing to have a card machine in the shop can’t have been the wisest move I have seen and pretty much takes many if not most people who would have come across the shop by accident out of the browsing to buying equation
Yes, I am using Classic and thank you both as that has sorted my problem and I can now access all my older shots.

I think it would be fair to say I'm far from a purist or a detail person but when given time which is rarely I just like to get out there and do the best I can with the time and weather conditions given. Sometimes I need to lend a helping hand but I enjoy that too. Don't be too hard on me :-)...
Heading to Glencoe tomorrow for the very first time and I can’t wait to see all the sights that I have seen on these pages and many others so many times and then capture my own of course.
Very excited :)
