Just buy a used WCL-X100. Same optical as the MK2. Just add your own magnet to get the camera to recognise it. Or use the menu to tell the camera it’s fitted. YouTube is your friend. EBay listing. 157828560241

X Raw Studio uses the camers engine to process. You must connect with a cable.

On my X100vi I use the lens control ring for digital crop. I get the full cropped image in viewfinder. Also, unlike previous iterations the vi does not interpolate the file. It merely crops from the 40 meg sensor.
