Well the lens arrived back today "no fault found" but they have replaced a switch, a focus brush, a flex and what sounds to be the focus motor as a precaution....... Just tested it out.... focus now back to what it should be! VC not as strong as I would like it, but at least it is working now!

Well I put mine in the post today, I'll update the thread when it comes back. The optical quality is really very good.... before I had the 'lost communication' issue, the af and vc were fine. The af judder after the firmware update made the lens unusable in af - it took over 5 secs to lock on a...

I started to get the 'no communication' issue recently...... I sent my lens back to Intro and they updated the firmware and cleaned it up (very nicely). On testing it now however, I get af chatter and the vc is almost useless...... I am about to send it back for them to have another go!
