First time pointing the R5 skywards and a good opportunity to give the 800RF it's first outing. I also stuck the RF1.4 tcon on for good measure. 67 images combined in Registax. All shot at F16, ISO400, 1/250sec and 1120mm. Slight crop in post. 95% moon on 01/01/2021. Gary

At the minute it's either just on or off. Canon have already released a firmware update for the 100-500 on the R5 due to problems with mode 2 panning. I'm not convinced the problem is 100% fixed. Cheers Gary

I didn't bother trying the 1.6 crop mode . I just decided to crop in post. I will probably use it when shooting bikes (which now looks like next year) unless Canon drops a R7 before then. Cheers Gary

Definitely rolling shutter in the 2nd shot . I included the pic to show what it can be like. I didn't shoot any high iso shots but I can't imagine it's any worse than the EOS R which I found very good. I found the R to be better than the 5DMk4 which was better than the Nikon D850. Fingers...
