I have a Canon Selphy CP1500, which produces 6x4s very well. It is a dye sublimation printer and produces long lasting prints. (If memory serves).
I'm happy, anyway.

I have 3 simlar (and much cheaper) units, and I have reliable whole house coverage, plus most of the rear garden.
I don't know the size of the folders, but as Weybourne says, images are unlikely to be compressed much. Have you thought about a transfer service like WeTransfer? Free up to a certain transfer size, and very reliable.
I'm ashamed to admit that apart from 6x4s with a canon selphy, I have not printed anything since lockdown. My printers are defunct, and I would have any prints done professionally now. I'm a PDI worker.

I also have a Pixel 6, and I like the camera. Works well with Lightroom app, and Snapseed too. Pixel 7 is coming down (slowly) in price as Pixel 8 is on the horizon.
Have you looked at GiffGaff - £8 for 4Gb (5Gb if you auto renew the monthly payment), unlimited calls and texts and works in EU too. I've been with them for years - I'm ususally on PAYG, but I buy a goody bag (Data and calls) if we are away.

I am guessng (as others before have said), that your camera is too new to be supported by Elements 2022. This might explain why your 70D images are OK?.
