Zoom and M4/3rds v crop and FF for wildlife?

With wildlife, particularly the faster moving variety, I find it easier to shoot well within the frame and worry about final composition later in Lightroom...the -45mp sensor on my camera permits this admirably (though my.experi3nce/preference does seem to contradict @sk66 's far more technical...

    Cotswold and Panamoz

Not very to the best of my knowledge. I have an (untested) 18 month warranty on my recent RF70-200 f2.8 purchase from Camerasdori. For me, the savings were worth the risk / unknowns. At the end of the day, you pays your money and you takes your chances!

    Cotswold and Panamoz

I completely understand your position. I always order using a c/card directly, rather than through PayPal (not sure if it makes a difference in the event of things going Pete Tong?!) There are a few newer players in the market, Cameriz and Camerasdori (see my recent experience in post #391...

    Cotswold and Panamoz

I have used E-Infinity, Panamoz and Norwich Cameras in the past - all with absolutely no issues. I recently ordered a Canon RF70-200 f2.8 L from Camerasdori. The lens was ~£1200 cheaper than UK suppliers, £300 cheaper than 'used with scratches on the front element' and ~£120 cheaper than the...

The GAS confessional - all who suffer are welcome. :)

I decided it'd be nice to have an f2.8 lens for an upcoming trip and....despite this not even being in my consciousness 24 hours ago....have inadvertently bought a Canon RF70-200 f2.8 from Camerasdori....

    Vanguard 8x42 ED binoculars?

My wife and I both use the Vanguard Endeavour 8x42 ef bino's and, for the price, we (and others who have tried them) think they are excellent. They seem robust as well, we've had them ~10 years and they have survived many trips to Africa and S. America unscathed.

    Horseflies (Clegs).

Tse-tse flies are the most tenacious bug....s I have come across. Their bite is like a hot needle. Nasty, nasty things. But, like @Nod , Skin-so-soft does a pretty good job of keeping them away. It amuses me to visit outdoor-sport type shops in the southern US states.....camo-everything you...

    R7 or FF with extenders

Ah, OK....it was Guts who gave the above advise. We are off to Chobe, Okavango and the Kalahari with them in a few weeks, and then India next March...oh and a 'long stay special' in January!

    R7 or FF with extenders

For low light, I really dont know. I was just adding my 2p's worth to the 'reach' side of OP's question.

    R7 or FF with extenders

I asked my photo guide at Pangolin Photo Safaris a similar question.....I had an R7 and and R5 at the time. He said R5 all day, every day over the percieved extra reach you get from crop sensor camera. With the high resolution of the FF sensor, forget about the apparent lost reach when in the...
