Tbh im not overly happy about it being over exposed at the top of her hand, but they wasn't bothered about that they now have it framed in their living room.
Recently did this with the X30 & Meike Flash for a couple that recently got married, the Wedding Photographer didn't do a shot of their rings
so volunteered to do it, the couple are more than happy with it.
I've had the privilege of owning all three over the years, still have my X30 which i still enjoy using on a weekly basis, all three will probably be classics in a few years time it's a shame really Fuji decided to end it with the X30 both the X40 & X50 :p could have been something special with a...

I just recently pick up a Panasonic 14-45mm lens of ebay, but i think it might have a problem with the lens image stabilization motor.

Mine arrived back this morning to, mine was suffering from as you described graunchy, i can gladly say they sorted this out now it's nice and smooth as it should be, Fuji replaced the barrel along with the sensor.
This is how mine sounded before sending it off last week...
Just got my Email from Fuji saying my camera on it way back to me, they only got it Monday so 4 days turnaround, so maybe it does help to send it off yourself rather than in the pre paid package, or i 've just got lucky eitherway im glad it on it's way back now :).
I don't expect them to treat it any differently, the reason i posted it myself I didn't realize at the time the pre paid postage was in fact RMSD, hence why i sent it off myself.
Sent mine off Saturday, by my own postage & my own brown box not fuji pre paid one, got an email today saying......

Im sure Fuji will have Batteries knocking about to test any camera they sort.

My biggest concern really was how ruff the barrel felt when zooming in, also dust...
