I am a self taught amateur photographer. As a kid I used to take a fair few pics. My Dads side of the family being from Zimbabwe and my Mum and her Mum having a keen interest in photographing wildlife on holiday in Kenya from time to time so growing up i was fortunate to get the opportunity to travel a bit and see some of the world which I feel enhanced my passion for aesthetics. I started to take things more seriously and learn manual photography through another passion, scuba diving. Having clocked up around 100/150 dives I hired a camera one day and got the bug and soon after invested in my own. A Canon G12 and an Ikelite housing. A great little camera it is though started to hit limitations with it and decided to enter into the world of dSLR a year ago or so with a 2nd hand Canon 5dii. I haven't yet upgraded to an underwater housing for the dSLR. I currently only dive abroad so will only use it once every year or two for a week or two so will stick with the G12 for the time being. My most recent projects have been delving into the world of long exposure photography with an investment into a set of Lee filters. I moved to Bristol a year ago which lends itself nicely as hub for exploration of the coastlines of north Devon, Cornwall, up to Wales as well as heading inland to find new sites to shoot.
