it looks a bit light for a dlsr, eq3 and above are better. the holding rings on the tube are very close, this will not help vibrations

the 28-300 should be a better than the 18-270 and i've seen decent shots from that. i use the 18-200 as a holiday lens and i've never really needed longer. for wide angle i shoot vertical and make a panorama

also visit the venue before the event you want to shoot. this will give you ideas of who goes where, there movement level, potential good angles and lighting areas

check ebay, theres one that looks like a sail, seem to remeber this got an Ok review no experience of them but there pretty cheap

long shots normally need long lens/fast glass as most shots you looking for 1/1000+ shutter speed.

Hi im trying to get my S5 to fire in manual mode and trigger the SB (manual) without using CLS. Reason is im trying to trigger 3 flashes at once via remote flash. i cant seem to get the SB to recognize the flash. :bang: which settings am i missing?

how about making a bounce card? though i like the look of the mini umbrella

arent d40 supposed to be really good for night shots as the pixel density is way down?
