Common sense at the end of the day when visiting any country...
Lived in SA for over a year.....travelled from north to south and back again without a problem.
Frequently go back as my wife is South African..

Started of with Minolta....
Moved to Canon but seem to always let me down and malfunction..
Tried Nikon but was never completely comfortable with them....
Now with Sony as I still have glass from my Minolta days and they just work better for me...

Keep it simple. Use the 18-70 and the SB 600 for `fill`.
Get them outside as much as you can (if possible).
The light next month at 4pm will be much better.
Most of all.....enjoy the experience this will give you....
