Im looking for a winter trip to photograph wildlife and looking for ideas. I have did the white tailed eagles and the golden eagles so looking for something else. Not bothered if its a few days or a week trip. Looking to keep total cost( not counting spending money) to under £2k if possible.

Caungorms i can get to at any time and was planning to go next week but wanting more snow before i visit.

I did brown bears in Finland earlier last year.

My mate wanted ne to go to Yellowstone and i gavent replued to him yet so its a possibilty. Im doing Sweden and Norway next winter so money might now allow Yellostone. I have Hungary in a few months as well so thats no use for winter.

A bit more bearable than freezing waiting for eagles :D

but the eagles were worth the wait..lol..I have a big fascination with raptors and owls. I have tried to do my top 3 which were Golden Eagles, White Tailed Eagles and the Goshawk, all of which were raptors which i drew over and over again as a kid.For some reason the Goshawk was the 1 that i wanted more than the others and i got that chance 2 years ago.

I'm all for the eagles but eagles and sunshine have more appeal at my age :)

eagles in the sun would be to much of a luxury, the image needs to portray the hardship the photographer went through, you can't do that whilst supping on an ice cold beer covered in suncream with your shorts on.lol
...but just think its american beer, and the sand gets everywhere!
US will give you options - Texas, Arizona,California or Northern states (Minnesota, Maine, Canada) if you want to freeze your b*****ks off.
Morocco - some of summer birds plus mountains
Spain - ditto
South Africa - Expensive flights but CHEAP when you get there
netherlands for marshes

Good luck, and let me know if you want someone to carry the bag!

Colombia is meant to be very good for wildlife at this time of year and it should cost less than £2k if you organize it yourself. If people are interested I could give more details.

yeah but its the kidnapping i need to watch out for in Columbia.

Mark I'm not traveled have no ideas on cost, but simply Japan ,have no idea on seasons either actually:D,but Japan mate. Bears eagles monkeys taking hot baths in the snow, the landscapes OMG.. Many of the above would be dream land for me ,but if I had the dosh i think Japan would be an amazing experience for a wildlife tog. fon't think it's been mentioned??

good luck where ever

Stu

You can easily do Yellowstone for 2k. If you organise everything yourself.
