I've had the Mavic Pro for a little over two weeks now and have been loving every minute of it. So I thought I'd post my first video shot down Cardiff Bay for some comments.

looks excellent to me, except when you tried panning on the gimbal.. That would seem to be very jerky and a no no with your rig.
But I notice you avoided doing it later.
 
Any issues with flying it that close to people?

I got a drone for christmas, but other than smashing it around the front room i've not really tried it outside. Need to get some practice in :D
 
Beautiful video, Tim, I really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing :)

I've just recently sold my Phantom 2 Vision + and never liked the really blocky FPV video feed on my iPhone whilst flying it.

@twhite87 Does the Mavic have similar blocky FPV video or is it HD?

Nice to see it. I have lived in Wales all my life but never been there. very stable picture and entertaining / interesting

Not really. The guy in the boat was waving before that video with a thumbs up.

A bit biased as I set out those sails on the barrage wall years ago..............

I was going to fly between them, but nerves took over so I ditched it
