Those and the Redwing on the very rare occasions I have seen them in a UK winter are real treat.........................has been a very long time, might even be pre-digital :(

A nice capture it is too :)

Definetly a fieldfare ,signs of a hard winter coming

I've been seeing them and the accompanying redwings about 4 weeks ago in South Cheshire, but they may well have been here for a week or so before that. These days I often hear FFs and RWs before I see them. I keep hoping we might get a waxwing winter this year.

We had a big waves of them last year. Mind you my location is as far as yours as can be! (Orkney, Scotland)
