A Black Darter Sympetrum danae Only about Britain's smallest resident dragonfly at only 30 mm long
It was a very early morning Start 3.30 am at 21 deg on Crowle moors to see one of my Favourite Dragonfly and hoping to get some Perched up with the morning dew on them ? but with fingers Crossed as the numbers are very low indeed this year and Failed twice already ? I was greeted with about 30 red deer hinds to start with a barn owl then I had 3 nightjars flying and making their funny noise I was struggling to find any at all then saw some flying 4.20 with hardly any light at all then I found two perched up Both female I think so quickly getting a few shots before they was of ? and I must say I nearly got eaten alive never seen so many Mossys and got the Bites to prove IT
