La Dolce Vita in Bologna. The capital of Emilia-Romagna is considered the culinary center of Italy.
In Italy it is therefore also called "la Grasse, "the fat one.

In the center of Bologna, magnificent buildings dominate the cityscape.
Here the Palazzo del Podestà at the central Piazza Maggiore.

In hot or rainy weather, the city is easy to explore thanks to Bologna’s portici.
Some 40 kilometers of covered porticoes invite visitors to stroll.

Red brick dominates Bologna’s historic center.
The reflections bathe the alleys in saturated red light.
It is therefore also called „La Rossa“, the red one.

All the Best, Uli

I went to Bologna about 3 years ago and made the conscious decision to go without my camera..

Your images bring back memories, apart from the fact it was mostly wet when I went.... it is definitely well worth a visit.

I am very happy about that.

You would have to have the time to visit each photo project twice.

The first visit, like you, do not take the camera. There you would explore the atmosphere, the details, the peculiarities of Bologna, for example.

With these impressions, on the second visit, one could capture the particularities of the place much more precisely and accurately. One would be more likely to succeed in capturing the essence of, for example, a city.

Great but, who has that time?

Best regards, Uli

What a beautifully captured and presented set of images, showing the life and emotion of the city.
