Can I ask a question please about the Sony RX100 (in this case the MK VII) picture profiles. I usually have it set to PP Off, but there are 10 other types PP1 to PP10. I'm not really sure what effect they all have as some seem to be for video only ?

Could anyone explain and advise what profile people are generally using please ?

Wish could help but I have never used them on my mk3.
I just watched some video tutorials about it and the few I watched all give their own opinion on what to use and why.
I liked this video though…

I tested if I could use the video instead of having the shutter open for the lightnings. The resolution is low and the quality poor though, but it was easy and I could use the camera handheld.

Just picked up my first Sony, an RX100vii to replace the fixed lens Fuji X100V, which although being a fantastic camera, I found to be too restricting due to the fixed lens. My main camera is a Fuji X-H2 but I wanted something small to take with me every time I leave the house when not going out to specifically do street stuff. After hearing what two friends had to say about it (both have the Mk.7) I took the plunge. First impressions are nothing but very positive - especially the tracking in AF-C.
Here's the very first image i made with it, I had Saul Leiter in mind when I saw her sitting there.

That's a positive "RESULT" in my book Malc, "Congrat's" I'm sure you'll get to enjoy it very much.
