I visited this location four times before I finally got the conditions, and the shot I was happy with.
The first shot is a composite, blending two images together and ultimately trying to make the most of bad conditions. The latter shot is beautifully simple, with little editing required, taken at about 4.30am in the morning, and signalled the end of my visits here as I was finally happy with the shot.

Very nice.

No doubt some scrote will soon rock up and cut it down...:(

Lovely shot with great sunrise.(y)

Local flower show (Denbigh, North Wales) have a photo comp every year. Last year there was a section for solitary tree, one of the rules just stated “not that tree”. Think most people knew which tree they meant :)

Thanks Keith... Yes, perhaps its been overdone. A search on Flickr returned around 1500 different images of the same tree.
