Having walked along the cliffs and down into the site, I returned later to explore further. Surprisingly I was the only one there:

Lovely shot, I am surprised that you was alone but it`s always nicer like that.
 
Excellent! I suppose at that time not much people would be around?
Been in ballintoy harbour at sunset and there were only 2 photographers wandering about :)

One of the issues with Giant's Causeway is that if you stay for the sunset & beyond, there is a long walk back to the visitors centre in increasing darkness. There is an alternative, but it doesn't meet with NT approval!

I hadn't specifically gone to photograph & only had a little Pixi tripod but I liked the low viewpoint
