The TP52 - 2026 Darkslinger's 52 for 26

Thanks for sharing your thought process Bill.

It certainly comes through in those excellent images, all of which are appealing in different ways !

Good set Bill, flowers for me, tulips?

BTW no link from your pic to here
Thanks Keith, I appreciate the heads up!
I like your chosen image, it has mood, and the composition with the leading lines and the symmetry works really well. I really like the tulip shot too though, with the 3 distinct layers of colour.
Thanks Nick, I took a few shots of the tulips using a similar technique but I liked this one the best.
Lots of excellent shots there: particularly like the flora and fauna in your snappers set and nice macro work with morning rituals.
Thanks Simon
Good set of images you've got there.
Thank you Dominic

Thanks Wayne, sometimes I feel Iike I have to add some context.

Week 18 Curves

My wife and I went to a car show that a friend invited us to. Not something that I usually do as I am not really a "car guy" but I thought that there would be a few opportunities to grab some closeup curves...and then some... :p

Superb Vison Bill

Fab set Bill :)

Good set there Bill, they certainly liked the curves when designing those older cars

Any of those would work well. I really like your chosen shot, and the the mono immediately beneath it of the car back really appeals to me too.

Some good curves in these.
Thanks David!
Superb Vison Bill
Appreciate Wayne!
Fab set Bill :)
Thanks Dave.
Some great curves!
Can always count on old cars to give me curves... :)

That's for sure!
You’ll struggle to avoid curves around a car
Too true...
Ideal place to go grab some curves.

I do like your chosen image but I'm aslo drawn to the steering wheel.
Yeah, I liked how that one turned out as well.

Week 19 Colour Contrast

So I thought that I could go a number of different ways with this...hot vs. cold colours, dull vs. shiny colours, one shade of a colour contrasted with a different shade of the same colour, so...

Shiny vs. dull
Week 19 - Colour Contrast 1.jpg

bright vs. dark
Week 19 - Colour Contrast 2.jpg

One shade vs. another
Week 19 - Colour Contrast 3.jpg

Hot vs. cool

And just a hodge podge of colour

Great set :)

Love the umbrella shot

Yep - brolleys it is!!!

Your chosen shot by a mile for me. Great colours and I love the corresponding shadows on the ground.

I particularly like the umbrella shot too - especially how the ground is rather muted in colour and then the explosion of vibrant tones in the sky!

Great set :)
Thanks Jak!
Yes, another great set!
Thank you Paul!
Top set Bill and love your chosen one the best
Thanks Simon, I like how that one turned out.
Love the umbrella shot
Thanks John, it's become a go-to spot for me.
Good set and definitely picked the right shot, love it
Thanks Keith!

LOL, thanks Dave!

Thanks Nick, yeah, it's not often you can find a place that looks good in the middle of a hot cloudless day.
Love the umbrellas, it's definitely colourful.
Thanks Dominic!

Thanks Phil!

Lovely images Bill

The peeling decal with the textured surface does it for me, nice shadows there too.

Week 20 Geometry

Spent the weekend in Calgary, Alberta. We had all four seasons of weather in the four days that we were there, from hot summer to snow with clouds and rain in-between.

Lots to shoot as well.

Nice set of shapes Bill :)

They all work, but your chosen shot is the strongest. That's a great building, and the perspective and processing really add to it.

This building grabbed my attention because it reminds me of a building in Vancouver called the Vancouver House
I do like architecture, there’s some great pictures here. All good !
Thanks Alan
 Another cracking set Bill. Quite superb
Thank you Simon, Calgary has a lot of high-rises that are eye-catching
Great set again Bill, you in the B&W mood this week?
LOL, I find that architecture lends itself more to b&w then most other subjects
Another well thought out set of images, always difficult to choose one.
Thank you Allan.

Week 21 Hobbies

I do a little bit of gardening as another hobby and thought that I'd do some macro even though not much is blooming right now

With the exception of some Cranesbill Geraniums
Week 21 - Hobbies 1.jpg

I've got a few little solar lights hanging around

Nice set Bill. Something Alien about that Columbine :)

I could have gone for any of those. Your chosen shot seems like an outlier among them, but it works nicely.
